Frank Lloyd Wright's Sutton House
Designed by one of America's most influential and visionary architects, 602 Norris Avenue is one of the few homes west of the Mississippi River designed by the internationally-renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. The Sutton House is an example of Wright's earlier designs reflecting his famous and distinctive prairie style, in which he blended the design of the home with its natural surroundings. Learn about Nebraska's early pioneers and life on the American Prairie. The Museum at 421 Norris Avenue offers something for everyone with displays of authentic pioneer artifacts from the 1870's, the History of the American Railroad, the Daughters of the American Revolution and more. Political exhibits cover Senator George W. Norris and the three former Governors from McCook... Frank B. Morrison, Ralph G. Brooks and U.S. Senator E. Benjamin Nelson. An extensive collection of photographs offers visitors an interesting glance into Nebraska History.

Senator George W. Norris Home
Built in 1886, 706 Norris Avenue was where Senator George W. Norris (1861-1944) made his home in McCook from 1899 to 1944. One of the great independent politicians of American public life, Norris represented Nebraska for nearly forty years in the U.S. Congress. Elected in 1903, he served ten years in the House of Representatives. In 1913, he was elected a U.S. Senator from Nebraska and served another thirty years devoted to developing public ownership of utilities.
